Stevie
Wonder did it, as did many others like him. They all overcame obstacles placed before them. Now he is a very famous musician.
Why, you ask? Better yet, how? He never gave up. He persevered through tremendous pressure and negative feedback. He experienced
success, the negative and positive effects of it.
I feel
as if I have a connection with Stevie and those like him. My music ability only exists because of perseverance. Had I given
up, I would not be the artist I am today. It is this principle that shapes my life. Every situation that a person is faced
with can be looked at in the same way, Hold your head up, never give up.
Overcoming
the trials I endured to reach success, as a female, playing an instrument where most of the people who playing it are predominately
male, have only made me want to be the best I came be more. The phrase is true when it says, “What does not kill you
only makes you stronger.” When I look at who I am now, and who I was before, I see a difference. It’s two different
me that I am looking that. Depending on my chances the second is often times
better than the first.
Growth
of any kind is preceded by another event. Mental and psychological growth is quite the same. The process of maturity comes
after the passing of time, and the occurrence of events that spark growth. Not all of these events will be negative. Positive
time will appear and they bring more than moments of happiness. To be successful is one of there positive events. Success
is important because it provides a positive way for people to grow.
Success
is a measurement taken by society and the person with whom the success is said to have fallen. More times than not, the person
does not rate the success nearly as high as others.
